As a cyclist, I document all my results. I track my ride, my route, my distance, average speed, average heartbeat, cadence, and other statistics. Now, while many cyclists do this, there are many others that just ride their bike. They don’t care how far or fast they went. They just enjoy the ride. And that’s okay when it comes to bike riding. It’s not okay, however, when it comes to business. In business you have to be more like the kind of cyclist I am, one that documents results in great detail.

What’s concerning is many salespeople are like the cyclists that don’t track their rides. These salespeople, and in many cases, companies, just sell their product or solution or service without any regard for customer results. That’s a huge mistake. Check out this video for some thoughts.
